About our Shop

Muskoka Bicycle Pro Shop has been a staple in downtown Huntsville since 1982. The store was owned and operated by previous owners Fred and Caroline van den Bulk from 1996 – 2021, before recently switching hands to Dale Wenger and his wife Emma Schofield in February 2021.

Fred and Caroline emigrated from Holland, and brought with them their passion for cycling, and an understanding of bicycles only a true European would know! In 2001 Fred and Caroline upgraded to a bigger space, the current location at 63 Main Street East. Dale and Emma on the other hand, grew up in Muskoka and are proud to call themselves locals through and through, with community and great customer service at the centre of what they believe in. Dale has been working at the shop for nearly seven years and is excited to take on the new role of owner/operator together with Emma, and continue the legacy that Fred and Caroline created here in Huntsville and Muskoka as a whole.

Muskoka Bicycle sells Norco, Trek, and Louis Garneau, while covering all your cycling needs, offering custom bike builds, bike fittings, rentals, tours, repairs, and so much more! With our price-match guarantee, and a large inventory, we have taken every step possible to serve you as best we can. We know just how much your bike means to you, and promise it to be in the best of hands!

Client Testimonials

“In the summer of 2016 I had an accident with my Trek Madone 4.6 which resulted in the rear derailleur breaking off from the frame. In the process a small piece of the frame cutout was damaged. I took the bike into MBPS and Fred was able to get me an entirely new frame for the bike from Trek at no cost other than the reassembly. I received a new 2016 frame to replace my 4 year old one! I highly recommend MBPS and Fred, Carolyn and Dale for their great service and customer care. I also believe that Trek bikes lead the industry in customer service. “

One happy Trek customer,

Client Testimonials

“I need to tell you a little story about this company called Muskoka Bicycle. In 1998 at the age of 17 I bought a Trek 830.  It was a 22.5 inch monster, a big green bike that was awesome.  I have used the bike to transport me all over the Huntsville area; single track, roads, snowmobile trails while I was in High school.  It moved with me to Barrie to be my major mode of transportation while I was at college.   Then I moved to Kingston and again I used it offroads and lately I have been using it a city commuter.  This past July I was out for a ride and the unthinkable happened….. the frame broke!!!  It has been my bike for the last 18 years and it owed me nothing, but….. I remembered that Trek has a lifetime warranty on their frames.  So I called up Fred at Muskoka Bicycle and he asked if I had my receipt.  It was 18 years ago and I was 17, there was no way that I had that receipt. Then Fred and Caroline did some digging around and found my receipt!!  They got me to take some pictures of the crack in the frame, the whole bike and the serial number.  A couple of weeks later Trek had sent me a NEW BIKE!!!!”
